Add a RSS Feed from any location that you’d like to add even from your website or blog’s. Utilise your mashable site fully customized layout. Make it look cool and trendy. On my last post I had reveal on how to customize the Mashable layout according to your desire.

There a option for RSS on your home site at Mashable. But how do you add a RSS Feed on your profile. It’s easy. Follow the step by step instruction below:

• Login to your mashable site.
• Go to "Your Home"
• Highlighted with red circle (Add a feed)
  
  
• Click on Add a Feed
• A RSS Link Box will appear – Fill in the RSS Link URL in the empty box
  
  Example:
  Link rss: http://animax-2u.blogspot.com/rss.xml
  
  Please use the full RSS URL of the site that you want add. If you’re not sure. Check the site by placing your cursor on top of RSS Button of the site of their Subscribe Link. The rss link only works for RSS and not for Atom.
  
  Type in the URL Link in the "Please enter RSS link:" Red Box with full RSS Link or by using FeedBurner Rss Link URL.
  
  
• Click Add Box
  It will Verify and RSS Content will appear in the same page element 1.



• Click on "Edit Layout" 2.
• New set of Menu will appear on the same row of the Add Feed & Edit Layout.
• Click on "save layout".

While saving the layout you may also relocate the page element by click and hold the left mouse button and move it to a desirable location.

And that’s all for adding a feed on a Mashable Profile. Make sure that you had save the layout after the changes. You may also customize the Mashable Profile and make it impressive as your myspace or other community’s layout.

Mashable is getting huge everyday and the amount of visitors that flow in is huge in number, they have the potential to grow even better than myspace, friendster and other social community. Mashable offer’s new’s, community, and even grow your own audience. Mashable allow’s you show off all your community site’s in one place and get more friends and traffic to your site’s. Even Mashable provides myspace tweaks for your easy custimizations.

Most are there just to drop in and say hai but they forget the potential of getting new input’s as much only register to get their content in Mashable. Try customizing you’re layout and your community. The steps are very easy and if you get started you’ll just can’t stop.

Part 1.
After registering, try optimizing your community first on the Mashable layout. It’s simple and easy.

1. Login to your account.


2. Member Home Page.


3. Click on Edit.






4. Click on Your Network

On this page you’ll see there are community, media sharing, bookmarking, blog, music, event’s and reviews, news, game and misc.

Choose appropriate category that you want to use. If you’re like to share your myspace site then click on the icon of myspace not the wording. And a pop-up layout will appear requesting your site info’s.

Fill in the:-
Site – Myspace or any just scroll
URL – This is your site (myspace URL) with http://
Example:
http://myspace.com/shaffir
Link Title: Choose a Anchor Text for the url.



Then save and you’re done. Follow these simple steps for all your groups that you want to share.

Part 2. Now you may customize the look of your Mashable layout.

1. Login to your account.


2. Member Home Page.


3. Click on Customize

There are 2 options that are Simple Mode and advance for those who mastered the HTML. For these we will just follow the Simple Mode as not all of us are masters.

There are: Header, Body, Main Menu, Main Block, Comments and Footer.

Each individual element can be changed according to your style of mood. Just change the layout as you required and no need to worry about mistakes. The layout can be revert as normal (default). And each time you had made changes on the layout it will show the updated changes directly.

For Background,



if you want to add a image from your own computer. It’s easy just go to the BODY section, Click on use image button to enable it and upload the image. Simple, and you may aligned the imaged as you wish with the POSITION click on the POSITION box and put the image accordingly.

Movement
If you want the image to be in one place, Click STAY PUT. But you want it to move around you may, Click on Move With Scroll.

Repeat.
Can you see the red Dot Box on the element. They have in vertical, horizontal and full repaeat. Just click on the Box. It will customize the widget.

If your are familiar with the colour code for html you may use the boxes specified to put in the colour code for your text and header but if you’re not you may click on the colour and see which color suit’s your site best.

Let’s mash as pro and make new things on the community. But if you already have a layout in your hand just paste it in the Advance Customization and save it. On next issue I’ll be sharing the feed option on how to customized the layout with RSS feed on Mashable Profile.

The latest new's is that google had taken Feedburner. And the good news is that Google plans to integrate the feed tracking service on Blogger.com platform, enabling a one click redirection of Blogger Feed to Feedburner. No more pinging.


It's awaited news for all blogger who uses blogspot. If you require detailed stats on who's reading your blog, it's now more easier to be done. The integration also works for blogs that is not hosted on the Blogspot domain.


The instruction is :


Log into your Blogger account, select Settings Site Feed, enter your FeedBurner feed address and click “Save Settings.”

The most anticipated is will Feedburner integrated into Google Analytics, creating a comprehensive stats package for blogs and news sites?

Most of us Blogger especially they don’t intent to alter their blogger site. Some maybe happy with the structure but some are really needs to touch up. Some would say why do I need to modify my site. As you know you are not the only one who has the same template. It would be wise if you modified, as it will show that you’re not a copy cat not a follower. And it gives your reader a sense of the owner is a webmaster and he knows his stuff.

It’s best for you to understand the basic HTML, but for beginners we would recommend you learning from 3school for basic HTML.

If you’re about to change the size of your layout. Firstly save your template or go-to Template, Edit HTML and click the Expand Widget Templates, select all and copy. Then Go-to your notepad and paste it and save as a Text Document. So that if anything happens to your layout you may use it again. This will act as a backup. There’s also a easy way to backup your template that is by using blogger backup. Just by clicking on the Download Full Template and saving it onto your computer.

If you’re about to expand your site width you must check what is your current setting in the HTML. Where do you look for your site setting?

Okay now that we know the settings are. We can start changing the template size. Remember to leave atleast 30px for your site internal spacing.

Simple and straightforward after changes are made just preview and see the changes if it’s, as you required it them save the template. But if you modified wrongly then you need to upload back your old template setting via the saved one in your computer.

This size is recommended for atleast 14"monitor. With this modification you may see that your templates is bigger then normal one. That makes a stand out. But you also change the template Navbar. Hide it! Legal it’s. How simple go to your template page, edit HTML copy and paste this tag as:

Just try either because these two widgets will work for Old or Classic Blogger. Just customize your blog. So that you’ll get all the attentions that others are not getting.

Not only having a good content is necessary but also the nicest layout. That show’s how professional that you are. Don’t just copy and paste all the time try something’s.
